Daniela Rea Gómez

Daniela Rea (Irapuato, 1982) is a journalist and the author of the books Nadie les pidió perdón. Historias de impunidad y resistencia (2015) and La Tropa. Por qué mata un soldado (2019), and the editor of the book Ya no somos las mismas y aquí sigue la guerra (2020). She directed the documentary No sucumbió la eternidad. She has received the National Journalism Award in 2018; the Gabo Prize from the New Ibero-American Journalism Foundation in 2017, 2019, and 2022; and the Premio Alemán for Journalism in 2021; among others. She is interested in exploring the tension between horror and beauty, as well as the construction of listening spaces.
